It looks like the hard work of Trainers the world over has paid off in Pokémon GO. The Global Catch Challenge either brought players back to the game or put its fans into overdrive, as over the weekend the counter’s climbed right over the three billion mark!

This not only means there are more items in the game, but the grand prize of Farfetch’d has been made available across the globe for a 48 hour period. Normally only offered in East Asia, you can now set out to grab the elusive duck that’s avoided any kind of evolutionary relatives since 1996.
As for anyone in East Asia, you’ll instead get a crack at Kangaskhan. This ensures everyone gets a GO at something rarer than the usual and brings more players closer to those full Pokédexes.
