Back in late January, a massive poll to determine the most popular FE characters was held in the lead up to the release of Fire Emblem Heroes. The victors — Ike, Lyn, Roy, and Lucina — were to receive special costumes in the game at some time in the future, but the release date was unspecified… until now, as the official Twitter revealed the costumes would be hitting the game sometime in the summer.

While “summer” is a pretty broad release window, given the game tends to rotate banners roughly twice a month, that narrows the potential release times ever so slightly: early or late June, July or August.
The news came with a brief Japanese voice clip for Ike, the only one of the four who isn’t in the game in any form yet. Whether a “normal” version of him will release before his costume comes out remains to be seen, though demand for him is certainly high at the moment.
Stay wired for when we have more concrete information, including a proper release date and what the costumes look like.
