Recent years have shown an increase in the number of thick Zelda related books filled with interesting information. First came Hyrule Historia, then The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts, and now a third tome seems to be on the way, as it’s come to light that a new Hyrule Encyclopedia will be hitting Japanese bookshelves in February.

The book will contain a visual database of key Zelda lore and set pieces; a collection of information on dungeons, enemies, items, etc.; and archival notes on the storylines of each game. No English release has been announced, though given that Dark Horse Books published both Hyrule Historia and Art & Artifacts, it seems likely that the company will be back for a third round. We’ll be sure to provide more information as it comes in.
