It’s now been four years since Bravely Default first launched for 3DS in Japan, and the team behind the franchise at Square-Enix has posted up a tweet with some new art to celebrate:
ブレイブリー生誕4周年!
最近は情報に乏しくてごめんなさい。
近々 何かあるかも……!? pic.twitter.com/F2FBalVoMq
— ブレイブリーセカンド (@BDFF_OFFICIAL) October 11, 2016
What’s most exciting, however, is the text included with the tweet, which roughly translates to “it’s Bravely’s 4th anniversary! News has been scarce lately. There may be something soon?!”
While it’s definitely possible we’ll get a third game in the series, it’s worth noting that the Bravely franchise encompasses more than just the core games, at least in Japan. There have been non-canonical browser games, pocket books and even Drama CDs. If it turns out a game is in the works, however, we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as possible..
