Pokémon GO Plus, the wearable companion accessory for the app, finally launched today here in the United States after missing its original mid-July release window. Now, it appears that Japan, and presumably other regions as well, are looking at a second major delay for the accessory, pushing GO Plus’ launch back to “early November.”
The news comes from Nintendo of Japan via Twitter, and cites product scarcity as the reason for the delay.
With pre-orders and initial shipments already largely sold through in the United States, we can’t help but wonder how this manufacturing shortage will affect future availability here and in other regions.
Stay tuned to Nintendo Wire for availability alerts and future news about Pokémon GO Plus.
