On Saturday, October 15th, fans of the popular Yo-Kai Watch animated TV series will be able to attend a special, one day event at cinemas across the country. The events of the movie tie-in with the upcoming Yo-Kai Watch 2, sending Nate back in time to team up with his grandfather and save the world from an evil Yo-kai. The movie’s release in Japan was so successful that it set box office records for advance ticket sales, and became the highest grossing Japanese film of 2015.
Fans of Yo-Kai Watch won’t just be treated to the movie at the event, however. Attendees will also receive a special medal, featuring the heroic Yo-kai that stars in the movie, Hovernyan! This Hovernyan medal will work with Hasbro’s Yo-Kai Watch Model Zero Toy, and will unlock special content in Yo-Kai Watch 2 when players scan the QR code on its back.
