Nintendo’s pre-order bonuses can range from the awesome (the Ganondorf statue that came with Wind Waker HD) to the disappointing (the sets of easily obtainable in-game Poké Balls), but now Nintendo UK has revealed one of the strangest yet – a Metroid mousepad.

That’s right, those who pre-order the still-controversial Metroid Prime: Federation Force from the Nintendo UK store can get their hands on a mousepad covered with art from the game. While it’s undeniably sleek and stylish, it definitely stands out as a strange choice compared to the small figures that come with Pokémon Sun and Moon pre-orders. At the very least, it’s something extra.
