Update: Sadly, it looks like even though you can submit an idea for a PokéStop, Niantic isn’t currently considering them.
If you’ve done any amount of exploring with Pokémon GO, you’ve no doubt uttered one of these statements:
“I can’t believe there’s no PokéStops here.”
Or…
“This place would make a perfect Gym.”
Personally, I’ve found large residential parts of my city to be completely devoid of both PokéStops and Gyms, while nearby parks and college campuses contain dozens of these landmarks in a space the size of a few city blocks. While Pokémon GO is clearly designed to get players out of the house and exploring, gathering some items or visiting a gym during a walk around the neighborhood could be just as gratifying and beneficial.
If you’ve had a similar experience, Niantic wants to hear from you. Pokémon GO’s official support page contains a form just for requesting new PokéStops and Gyms wherever you want. It basically asks you why and where, and gives you a chance to upload an image representing the spot you have in mind.
You can submit your request here, but for obvious reasons, I wouldn’t expect immediate results.
