A new trailer for the upcoming Sonic game Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice has just been released on IGN’s official YouTube channel!
This trailer is marked as an E3 trailer, which would make sense considering how rapidly E3 is approaching. The video shows off Sonic and friends as playable characters who, in Fire & Ice, take control of the elements for battles and exploration.
While Sonic Boom as a whole has been met with quite a bit of criticism, it seems that the franchise is doing well enough for itself, at least for now. The new trailer does its best to highlight the best parts of the coming launch, though give people’s aversion to the series as a whole, there’s no telling how it will do.
The game is set to launch just a few months after E3, and has you playing as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Am, and Sticks, all as they’ve appeared in the cartoon and previous Sonic Boom games. And by pre-ordering the launch edition, you’ll get a special DVD alongside the game.
