Nintendo has launched the official site for Kirby: Planet Robobot! Upon visiting the page, fans are able to view five different sections, accessible either by scrolling down or the buttons on the left-hand side. If you scroll down, you’ll be treated to some new art, but the real treat comes with the buttons on the left, where a robotic voice announces the section that your mouse is hovering over.
The first section details Kirby’s brand-new Robobot Armor, with a short trailer showcasing different abilities that the armor can gain by scanning Kirby’s enemies. (Personally, I’m looking forward to Beam Mode, Fire Mode and Sword Mode the most.) The Robobot Armor page also features a trailer detailing the stickers found in game and used to customize the different modes of the Robobot armor for a unique look.
The next section is all about Kirby’s trademark Copy Abilities. This page features short trailers for three brand new Copy Abilities, Poison, ESP, and Doctor! There’s also a short trailer focused on the Smash Bros copy ability. Further down the page we also see new images of Kirby’s classic Copy Abilities in action.
It wouldn’t be a Kirby game without a couple different game modes for players to enjoy, and that’s exactly what the third section is going to show you. There are five game modes to enjoy in Kirby: Planet Robobot, including the triumphant return of fan favorite Meta Knightmare mode. First shown in Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland and last shown in Kirby Super Star Ultra, Meta Knightmare allows players to play through levels as Meta Knight. In Kirby: Planet Robobot the goal of Meta Knightmare Returns is to complete the levels as fast as possible in a time-attack mode.
The fourth page details amiibo support in Kirby: Planet Robobot, where players can use the all new Kirby Series amiibo to grant Kirby with copy abilities while wearing a costume modeled after the character that was tapped! Amiibo can also be used in game modes besides the story: Meta Knightmare Returns and The Arena.
The fifth and final section gives players a couple different options for pre-ordering Kirby: Planet Robobot and also offers a link to Nintendo’s site for Kirby Series amiibo.
Kirby: Planet Robobot launches on June 10th. Head on over to the official site to learn about the game while you wait to join Kirby on his next great adventure!
