My Nintendo, the all-encompassing account solution and Club Nintendo replacement, finally has a release date– in Japan that is. Japanese Nintendo fans can start using the service on March 17th, the same day as the launch of Miitomo, Nintendo’s mobile friendship application. Games purchased in the eShop on or after March 17th will be registered in the new account system and will be eligible for the all new reward program.
Oddly enough, it was also announced that themes and DLC will not be eligible purchases. Sad news for the 3DS theme obsessed!
No word on a U.S. release, but with Miitomo releasing later this month in North America, we suspect it’s just around the corner!
