In case you didn’t know, Splatoon is a huge hit in Japan. As of the week ending January 24th the game was holding onto a No. 9 position in the regional charts, and has been a constant presence for more than 35 weeks. This, coupled with the recent live concert featuring Callie and Marie, show how Japan just can’t get enough of the ink-based antics.
Now to take it even further is the announcement of a new Splatoon manga series, via the franchise’s official Japanese Twitter account. Check out the graphic:
The series will be published as part of the bi-monthly manga magazine Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic, and will begin this coming April.
