Lots of news regarding Nintendo merchandise tonight!
Good Smile is notorious for its numerous figures and merchandise that span over dozens of franchises and other companies, and Nintendo is no stranger to its work. With quite a few Nendoroid figures and some extremely wonderful Figmas, I know from a personal standpoint that I’m always on the lookout for more Nintendo from them.
Well, according to various sources, my wishes (and hopefully yours, too) have been granted. The first new figure comes in the form of a Nendoroid, the adorable, chibi-like and poseable miniature figurines. We’ve been lucky to get not just one, but two different version of Link in Nendoroid form, but now, get ready for Princess Zelda! That’s right, the Princess herself is getting figure treatment in her Wind Waker incarnation, which will go along perfectly with the Wind Waker Link Nendoroid!
Unfortunately, that’s the only actual product shot from Good Smile that we have so far. However, several placeholder cards for other figures have been revealed as well. According to Twitter user @gsc_kahotan, a Meta Knight figure (possibly a Nendoroid) is also on its way sometime in the future. Additionally, thanks to the WonHobby gallery page, we can confirm that an Elise Nendoroid from the upcoming Fire Emblem Fates (already released if you’re in Japan) is set to be released!
In the world of Figmas, two new figures have been teased. Placeholder cards for both a Twilight Princess version of Link and a Metroid Prime 3 version of Samus have been seen. No doubt that these will be absolutely beautiful, as usual!
And lastly, though not from Good Smile, a new Skyward Sword Link figure has been revealed by Max Factory, and it looks fierce.
All this news is coming hot off the wheels of the recently announced Red and Blue Nendoroids from Pokémon, and all of this is being showcased at Winter Wonder Festival 2016 in Tokyo, Japan.
Stay tuned for more details about upcoming Nintendo figures!
