The sixteenth, and final, multiplayer map will be added to Splatoon tonight (1/21) at 6 p.m. PST. Ancho-V Games is the fictitious game studio where Splatoon’s mini-games, like Squid Jump, were developed. It’s filled with messy desks, scattered papers, cluttered whiteboards, and the occasional stressed-out jellyfish programmer. Parts of the floor can be shifted by shooting ink into giant PC cooling fans, granting access to higher areas and bridging gaps.
It’s truly bittersweet to see Splatoon’s free content updates come to an end. Obviously, we wish there were more on the way. But Splatoon has grown into a massive, robust multiplayer experience, and beyond the price of the game, we weren’t asked to pay a dime for any of it.
