In preparation for Hyrule Warriors Legends Japanese release in just two weeks, Koei Tecmo has released a series of videos on its official YouTube channel about the game.
The first features game producer Yosuke Hayashi and voice actress Ruriko Aoki. Armed with Link’s scarf, Linkle’s Compass, and a Golden Ocarina, the two sit together while Aoki plays through twelve or so minutes of the game for us, and Hayoshi provides commentary and details about the content. This is supposedly the first in a series of game overview videos by Koei Tecmo, though it’s unknown when the next will be released or if it will feature Hayashi and Aoki again.
Throughout the video, we’re given a lengthy preview of what the game looks like on the 3DS. The gameplay, as expected, looks to be very similar and familiar, and the graphics actually seem to hold up really well on the 3DS. We get to see Aoki complete the introduction of the game, play as Impa, and even take down the first Giant Boss! She also shows us how dangerous it can be to make a Cuccoo angry. After the gameplay preview, Hayashi shows off the new Legends 3DS theme, as well as the contents of the Treasure Box edition of the game. Check it out below!
The second video is a 15-second TV spot. There’s no new information provided in this clip, but it does show off a few short clips of Link and does a good job representing the game for the time it’s given!
Lastly is a 30-second TV spot, which does an even better job showing off what the game has to offer. Not only are a few short clips of Link shown, but Zelda and Ganondorf are shown as well! The spot finishes off with a highlight on Linkle, Legends’ newest character.
Looks like fans and Koei Tecmo alike are hyping up for the game’s release! Unfortunately, the rest of us have to wait a few more months before we can get our hands on the game. Hyrule Warriors Legends hits stores in Japan on January 21st, and in North America and Europe on March 25th.
