Update (12/31): It has been confirmed that Hammer Slam Bowser and Donkey Kong Skylanders/amiibo Combo Packs will be released on January 9th during a “Skylanders Day” event. No word on online pre-orders at this time.
Our friends at Skylanders Inquirer have finally confirmed what we have long been suspecting. Standalone Skylanders/amiibo packs are coming to retailers soon.
Each combo pack will retail for $24.99 and will include Hammer Slam Bowser with his Clown Cruiser, or Donkey Kong with his Barrel Blaster. These dual packs have already started appearing in stores but are not officially available for purchase at the moment. Stay tuned for pre-order details on our Twitter page: @AmiiboNews!
