Players of Mario Kart 8 will remember the rather unusual product placement that was the free Mercedez-Benz kart DLC that hit the eShop in August 2014. In a bizarre turn of events, Mario is returning to the wheel of a GLA, but not in the way you’d expect:
That’s right, Super Mario Maker. In a new Event Course, available right now, players can unlock the new Mystery Mushroom GLA costume after playing through a Mercedez-Benz themed level, complete with a massive version of the logo made out of bricks.
The costume also fills in the last slot available in the expanded Mystery Mushroom menu, so if Nintendo wants to add more event courses in the future we will likely be seeing another update soon.
