Good news for fans of challenging rhythmic platformers – Commander Video is coming back in a new BIT.TRIP game – Runner3! Check out the teaser trailer:

While no platforms have been announced, the BIT.TRIP series has been a staple of Nintendo systems ever since the days of WiiWare, and Commander Video even popped up as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. As a result it really wouldn’t be a surprise to see this new sequel appear on Wii U or even NX when it arrives next year.

According to the game’s devlog, which will be updated regularly, one of the team’s development pillars is that “Runner3 needs to be a joyous experience in every moment–both in the game, and during its creation.” For that reason the game will be playable by those who seek the usual challenging gameplay and those who just want to experience it without penalty.

For right now you can dive into the previous BIT.TRIP Runner games for 50% off on Steam, Wii U, PS4 and PS Vita, up until October 2nd!
