Simisear – also known as the Ember Pokémon, also known as Poverty Infernape – came in dead last in the recent “Pokémon General Election 720,” in which Greninja took top honors. In response to his thrashing in the polls, there will be a new campaign to improve his irredeemable image. From June 25th to July 15th, players in Japan can head to a Pokémon Center store and download this mistake of an ape for Pokémon X and Y, as well as Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The stores will also be handing out physical business cards apologizing for – er, uhh – promoting Simisear, hoping to make him more popular.
None of this will change the fact that Simisear is Bad™, but kudos to the little monkey for trying.
