Now considering Monolith specializes in vast open spaces that are actually visually interesting and have things to do, it’s hard not to get excited when you hear they’re also helping out with the next big (non-Link’s Awakening remake) Zelda game. What’s more, they’re hiring a whole boatload of positions – artists, programmers, designers, planners, and even management. Are they contributing to the next Zelda series not merely as an assistive studio but as a key developer? The sheer thought of such a possibility has me quaking in my boots.
Obviously details are sparse right now, and we’re not sure what the next Zelda will look like in any respect. But the mere confirmation that Monolith Soft has their hands on something Zelda related is reason enough to get giddy.
