When it comes to Fire Emblem protags, few are as classic — and mimetic — as the hero of Fire Emblem: Binding Blade, Roy of Pherae. As one of the series’ two initial ambassadors to the West, and the source of many an internet joke over the years, it’s no surprise that the Young Lion is one of the most popular lords in the series. And now he’s getting the Legendary Hero treatment in Fire Emblem Heroes, giving everybody’s favorite red-haired boy (well, second-favorite, if you’re a fan of his papa Eliwood) the respect he deserves.

True to his origins, Roy is a Sword Infantry of the Fire Blessing, though the bonus he imparts is different from the usual stat-up boost and represented by a new (yet unexplained) icon. He’s got quite the skillset, as you would imagine — his new weapon, the Dragonbind Blade, both counters regardless of distance and is effective against dragons. Meanwhile, in addition to Dragon Fang and Renewal, he comes outfitted with new skill Bonus Doubler (essentially doubles stat boosts during combat) and unique skill Human Virtue (grants Atk/Spd +6 to self and adjacent non-beast/dragon allies). Not to mention he hits with that classic blazing FE6 animation!

As with any LH Banner, there’s a selection of heroes to pull from at a boosted 8% rate. They are, by color: Red (Legendary Roy, Hrid, Festival Micaiah), Blue (Legendary Ephraim, Halloween Niles, Adrift Male Corrin), Green (Gunthra, Surtr, Adrift Female Corrin), and Colorless (Female Grima, Mikoto, Festival Xander).

The banner begins on February 26th at 11 p.m. PST (the 27th for most of the world), so ready your orbs for then!
