At this point, checking to see who the next featured Pokémon in Pokémon GO’s monthly Community Day event is like second nature to a lot of us still playing the game regularly. Generally, you can expect that the Pokémon is going to be somewhat rarer on a regular basis or has some sort of significance to the Pokémon brand, and this month the same thing holds true.
Following the pattern of starter Pokémon getting the Community Day treatment, this month’s feature will be Totodile! For three hours — from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET — on January 12th, Totodile will have an increased spawn rate as well as an increased chance to appear Shiny!
Also active during this time will be three hour lure times and 1/4 Egg hatching distances. To top it all off, if you evolve Totodile into Feraligatr in the three hour window, it’ll learn Hydro Cannon, which isn’t available to learn in any other way!
Make sure to get out there and continue catching on January 12th!
