One of the many things I’ve come to appreciate about Super Mario Odyssey is the plethora of characters and outfits those characters are adorned in throughout the adventure. The variety of locations offers different enemies, friends, and scenery, giving you an ever changing glimpse at what Mario’s life entails on pretty much an everyday basis.
It looks like you’ll soon be able to bring a little bit of that worldly flavor from Mario’s life to your very own home. A new toy series in Japan will be distributed through the popular gacha style chocolate eggs. This blind bag way of collecting could earn you favorite characters wearing some pretty snazzy clothes!

This promo image shows off a good portion of the cast: Mario, Goomba, Koopa Troopa, Mayor Pauline, the Broodals, Princess Peach (my personal favorite), and more. This is the kind of series I’d love to see arrive here in the US, but for now it looks like Japan is the only region getting all the figures. As the tweet above notes, you can expect to see them available in Japan on October 22nd.
Crossing my fingers for a local release! I need that Peach donned out in her vacation wear ASAP.
