Last spring, a free-to-play Kirby game on 3DS managed to absorb way more of my time than it should have — and here we are celebrating a whole year of Team Kirby Clash Deluxe. The RPG-inspired subgame from Planet Robobot became a mobile game-esque title, putting a quartet of Kirbys versus bosses from the series in set copy ability classes. If you missed out on it, you can decide whether or not you want to give the game a try for yourself by checking out what I thought of it on release.

In the here and now though, it’s time to take a look at something cute and celebratory:

Just take a look at all those familiar Kirby faces, gathering around Magolor’s shop and driving away business with their antics. Speaking of saving money, the game is giving away 50 Gem Apples and 5 Rare Fragments if you use the password “anniversary” in game. If you were deep into this one it might help you get that last piece of gear you were working on before getting drawn into another big adventure.
