The bizarre Japanese game director Goichi “Suda51” Suda is currently chipping away at the upcoming Switch exclusive Travis Strikes Back: No More Heroes, but it sounds like more games featuring his trademark weirdness could be on the way. In a recent interview with Famitsu (translated via Siliconera), the following exchange took place:

Goichi Suda: “Actually, we’re also developing ●●●.” [Note: The number of ● does not indicate the number of Japanese characters for the title.]

Famitsu: “It’s finally coming! I can’t help but have expectations for it!

Famitsu’s response suggests the new game is something that’s been long awaited. Given remastered versions of Killer7 and Flower, Sun and Rain have already been confirmed, speculation is rife as to what else it could be.

Other notable games from the director include Lollipop Chainsaw, Let it Die, and Killer is Dead, to name but a few, not to mention the time he collaborated with Nintendo and Tecmo on Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, which was apparently mentioned in the Famitsu interview.

We’ll be sure to bring you news on this mysterious project if it relates to Nintendo when more info is shared.
