It looks like this year’s Awesome Games Done Quick has officially started!
For those of you unfamiliar with the event, Games Done Quick is a semiannual charity event where speedrunners livestream themselves, well, speedrunning, their favorite games to promote donations. Awesome Games Done Quick happens to be their January event, which is live now.
As stated above, the show officially began with the pre-show yesterday morning.
This year’s AGDQ is raising money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, and we absolutely suggest you go check it out. These gamers are seriously good at what they do, the commentary is fun, the games are good, and overall, it’s for a really good cause.
At the time of this article, they’re currently streaming Sonic Mania, but you can check out a much more in depth schedule of games and times, along with the runners themselves, on the official Games Done Quick website! The roster is extremely eclectic (with plenty of Nintendo thrown in!) so you’re bound to find a few games you like.
