On its first day of release, mobile title Fire Emblem Heroes was downloaded 2 million times and made approximately $2.9 million worldwide, Sensor Tower reports.

Both numbers are significantly less than the day-one numbers of both Pokémon GO (4.2 million downloads and $10.2 million in revenue) and Super Mario Run (6 million downloads and $8.4 million in revenue on just iOS).

While both Pokémon and Mario have higher brand recognition in their favor, Fire Emblem Heroes’s numbers compare somewhat favorably to mobile heavy-hitter Clash Royale’s day-one numbers (2 million downloads and $1.4 million in revenue).

The report also notes that the majority of both downloads and revenue comes from Japan, where Fire Emblem has been a staple for much longer than in the U.S.

It remains to be seen whether the success of Heroes will grow or stagnate over time, but Sensor Tower notes that it is “impressed” with the game’s day-one numbers.
