In a late night bit of tinkering, the ESRB has officially rated the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake as E10+ per the Nintendo eShop. The rating is consistent with Ocarina of Time 3D’s description, though it seems the “suggestive themes” attribute has been dropped.

Going through the Wayback Machine, Ocarina of Time’s remake was still listed as “RP – Rating Pending” on July 14, 2026. On July 22nd, the image for the rating doesn’t load, but it was not changed to E10+, at least. This is a very recent development.

We don’t have any other details like a new description to go along with this, just that the remake will feature “Animated Blood” and “Fantasy Violence.” Maybe this points to the fairies being a bit less revealing, but I’m mostly jumping the gun. We don’t know anything about this remake other than that it is happening and will be a Switch 2 exclusive. The only other thing we can gleam from this rating update is that Nintendo might be gearing up for a proper reveal soon.
