Universal has announced that 4K and Blu-ray releases of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be released next month, and confirmed that the film will debut digitally next week.
The movie will debut exclusively on digital platforms on May 19th, with the 4K Ultra and Blu-ray releases arriving on June 16th.
These home releases will include “over an hour of never-before-seen bonus content, with behind-the-scenes featurettes that explore the cast, music, easter eggs, and more.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is quickly approaching $1 billion in global box office sales. Shigeru Miyamoto, Mario creator and co-director of the film, revealed last week that it went beyond typical localization and was entirely “rebuilt” for its Japanese release.
