The Pokémon Company has uploaded a behind-the-scenes look at the recording of Winds and Waves’ main theme, performed by the NHK Symphony Orchestra.

The beautiful arrangement can be heard throughout while footage of the orchestra’s performance plays, mixed with clips from the games’ reveal trailer which debuted earlier this year. There’s even an adorable Pikachu mascot with a bowtie.

The NHK Symphony Orchestra is going on tour in Japan in August, celebrating both its 100th anniversary and Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. Dates, times, locations are listed below, along with links to ticket pages for each performance:

Pre-sale tickets are due to go live on May 14th for members.

The orchestra previously collaborated with The Pokémon Company in 2023, performing a special concert for the Pokémon World Championships esports event.

Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.
