As with the previous Mario Movie, Universal Studios is going all out in the marketing campaign for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. If you happen to have children or haven’t snuffed out the inner child within you, McDonald’s will be launching a Happy Meal toy line for Mario’s latest adventure that starts roughly a week before the film hits theaters in the US.

Starting on March 26th, 2026, diners will be able to get 12 different keychains based on characters from the Galaxy Movie. While some are repeats, they feature different forms of the characters that reference things from the games. The following toys will be available:

  • Birdo
  • Bowser
  • Bowser Jr.
  • Bowser Jr. (Wonder)
  • Luigi (Frog Suit)
  • Luma
  • Mario
  • Mario (Fire Flower)
  • Princess Peach
  • Rosalina
  • Toad
  • Yoshi

It should be noted that McDonald’s restaurants in Europe received different toys for the previous Mario Movie, so there’s a possibility that will happen with Galaxy, too. I’ve long since told my inner child to be quiet, so I won’t be collecting any of these. I guess that gives everyone else a better chance at finding them.
