Following yesterday’s Capcom Spotlight stream, Capcom has uploaded a new animated trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection that features a cartoonish aesthetic and quickly sets up the lifelong journey the main character will go through. After watching their trusty Rathalos hatch from an egg at a young age, the player character bonds with the creature before eventually embarking on a journey to discover the truth behind a civil war which ravaged the land 200 years prior.
The trailer doesn’t really go into that, but it still gives us a nice summary of the opening moments of the game. What we learned from yesterday’s Capcom Spotlight is that players with save data from previous Monster Hunter games, including Monster Hunter Rise, will be given some layered armor sets as a bonus for playing Stories 3. Connecting your Capcom ID across different platforms will also give you the “Catcom Work Outfit” for Rudy. Pre-order armor is available, and a free day-one DLC pack with a gold circlet accessory and a layered armor set will also be available.
