Pokémon Pokopia is finally upon us, and by all accounts it’s a great spinoff for the series. Tasking players with rehabilitating a lost island to turn into a haven for Pokémon, it combines people’s love of Pocket Monsters with their love of building models in an effective blend of genres and styles. I actually want to stop writing this article and go play it, but alas, I have news to give you all. New NSO profile icons are available to celebrate the launch of Pokopia.
Available over the next four weeks in different waves are a handful of Pokopia icons that players can redeem silver coins for to adorn their profiles with. Currently, you can nab Ditto and Pikachu, but next week will see a different Pikachu with Tangrowth, followed by Mosslax and male Ditto, then it will be rounded out with Smeargle and female Ditto. Nintendo’s website doesn’t list the backgrounds or borders that are available, but there’s bound to be at least a handful of those too.
The icons will be available on the following dates:
- Wave 1: 3/4 at 5:00 p.m. PT – 3/11 at 4:59 p.m. PT
- Wave 2: 3/11 at 5:00 p.m. PT – 3/18 at 4:59 p.m. PT
- Wave 3: 3/18 at 5:00 p.m. PT – 3/25 at 4:59 p.m. PT
- Wave 4: 3/25 at 5:00 p.m. PT – 4/1 at 4:59 p.m. PT
I’ve never gotten into collecting NSO icons, but I have redeemed points for some. I believe my current profile icon is that of sleeping Kirby, which pretty much sums up my life. Maybe I’ll go to bed now.
