If you had plans to swing by London this weekend for the Pokémon European Championship, then you’ll be one of the first to experience Pokémon Pokopia ahead of its March 5th, 2026, release date. As announced by Nintendo of Europe this morning, a demo for the upcoming Pokémon Life/Farming simulator will be playable to attendees of the event this weekend, which runs from February 13th-15th, 2026.
There’s no mention of what the demo will entail, but we already know that Pokopia puts players in the role of a Ditto who is tasked with rebuilding an island resort to house new Pokémon and people. It looks to combine elements of Animal Crossing, Disney Dreamlight Valley, and even Minecraft into a fun little whole. I’m not sure how well it will go down, especially since its physical release is on a Game-Key Card, but we’ll see.

A demo kiosk for Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will also be playable at the event for people who haven’t had the chance to experience that. Considering how much better it runs over the Nintendo Switch 1 version, it could be rather eye-opening for players who haven’t made the upgrade yet. I wouldn’t blame anyone holding out, though, as the price of a Switch 2 isn’t exactly cheap.
