A few months back, we got our first confirmation that an amiibo for Grace Ashcroft from Resident Evil Requiem would be launching sometime after the game arrives on Nintendo Switch 2. But when news dropped that Leon S. Kennedy would be joining Grace as a playable character, I immediately thought, one amiibo is great, but what about two?

Well friends, we finally got the confirmation we have been waiting for. Not only did Capcom announce that Leon will indeed be getting the amiibo treatment, but we also got our first look at both figures. According to Capcom, the amiibo are set to release sometime this summer. There is no word yet on pricing or an exact release date, but we did at least get our first look at their functionality.
Tapping an amiibo into Resident Evil Requiem will unlock weapon skins in game. We caught a glimpse of one of these during the Partner Showcase this morning, but I suspect we will be seeing a few more once the amiibo officially launch. Stay tuned.

Pre orders for the Resident Evil Requiem amiibo are not available just yet, but you can pre order the game right now at Amazon. Resident Evil Requiem launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27th.
