With Spring 2026 fast approaching, Capcom is readying players for the upcoming arrival of Alex as a DLC fighter. Announced last year when Season three was unveiled, Alex hails from Street Fighter 3 and has become a fan-favorite over the years for his ability to mix grappler gameplay with a more direct approach to attacking. He was also once meant to be the new face of Street Fighter, but Capcom’s numerous attempts to shift away from Ryu and Ken always fail to take hold.
Anyway, for his inclusion in Street Fighter 6, it seems Alex is done with the “good guy” shtick. As the teaser trailer announces, Alex is now a prime time wrestler billed as “The Man With No Allies.” Facing a clearly fake version of Hugo Andore, Alex uses sneak attacks and sucker punches to overthrow his opponents while the audiences boos. Since this is a cinematic, we don’t get a lot of information on his moveset, but he does hit Andore with a power bomb and choke hold, two moves that have followed him since his introduction to the series.
Alex will be the third character for Street Fighter 6’s third season, which will cap off this summer with the introduction of Ingrid. The “Year 3 Character Pass” is available on the eShop for $29.99 and will grant instant access to Sagat and C. Viper. Alex and Ingrid will be added as they are released.
