The Game Awards premiered some new footage of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, showing Mario and Luigi squaring off against Bowser Jr.
The video is an extended look at the scene from the previous trailer, where Bowser Jr arrives before the brothers and proclaims he will take back his father (who is still rodent-sized after the events of the last movie).
It’s very brief, but we do get to see Luigi land a majestic Tiger Knee-style attack on the new villain. Way to go, little bro!

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will premiere in theaters on April 3rd, 2026 in the United States, and on April 24th in Japan.
