I often forget My Nintendo is even a thing as Nintendo doesn’t really promote the service very often. Acting as a sort of replacement for Club Nintendo, My Nintendo routinely gets updated with physical and digital rewards from hot Switch titles and Nintendo is extending that to the Switch 2. For what I believe is its third Switch 2-themed reward (with this wristlet keychain being the first and Mario Kart World postcard set being the second), members of My Nintendo can redeem Platinum Points for a Donkey Kong Bananza rally towel, which is basically the thing you see people swinging around at races in between laps.
Measuring out at 8×12 inches, the towel features some art from DK Bananza of DK in a mine cart with a barrel behind him. There’s also the game’s logo, but that kind of goes without saying. The towel will run you 650 Platinum Points, which actually isn’t too hefty of a fee. You can earn Platinum Points just from playing Switch or Switch 2 games while signed into your Switch Online Account. There are also coins you can earn from Nintendo’s mobile games, though most people will probably have burned through those by now.
As with all of the other physical My Nintendo rewards, supplies are limited. If you want to grab this towel, you’ll need to act fast. I somehow do not have enough Platinum Points, so I guess I’ll need to get on playing some more Mario Kart World or something.
