With the Nintendo Switch 2 finally confirmed after all this time, the discussion of what will be on it grows stronger every day. From thoughts of new first-party titles to third-party ports, there’s a lot of potential to be had here. That latter point is particularly interesting; as exciting as new entries for the Nintendo staple franchises are, there’s even more ground to be broken by enabling more games to go cross-platform thanks to the hardware upgrade. Among the recent rumors of this regard, one stands out above the rest: Diablo IV potentially coming to the Switch 2.

The primary source of this discussion comes from eXtas1s, a leaker with some credibility to his name thanks to accurately revealing Game Pass games early in the past. In the original video, he claimed that a Diablo IV port for the Switch 2 is currently in the works. There was also mention of Microsoft Flight Simulator and even Halo: The Master Chief Collection among a handful of others, but these seem a bit less concrete. Given that Diablo III is already on the Switch and that Microsoft seems more open than ever to go cross-platform with their IPs, it seems very possible that this could be real.

Of course, as with all things leaks and rumors, it’s important to take it all with a grain of salt. While the Nintendo Switch 2 will almost certainly feature a handful of surprising new third-party entries the original Switch could never dream of, until it’s officially confirmed there’s no way to say anything for sure. That doesn’t mean there isn’t room for optimism however, and Diablo IV on the Switch 2 is certainly worth getting excited about!
