New trademarks have been filed by Nintendo, but these latest entries don’t have anything to do with new games. Instead, 10 new trademarks were filed in Japan by Nintendo on October 11th, all falling under Class 43. So what is Class 43? It all has to do with food, drink, and more interestingly, hotel accommodations.

Now, none of this means anything at the moment. Trademarks are filed all the time and some never come to fruition, but the possibilities are exciting to think about! A variety of Nintendo franchises are included, which means there are endless possiblities of what we could be looking at in the future. A Smash Bros.-themed hotel? Pikmin food and drink products? Only time will tell! Other popular IPs mentioned include the likes of Splatoon and Animal Crossing.

In the past, we’ve seen Nintendo collaborate with companies like Baskin Robbins to bring colorful series of flavors to fans for a limited time.

At this time, the trademarks are only filed in Japan, but this doesn’t mean something in the US is out of the question. After all, we did get Super Nintendo World at both Universal Parks stateside and those include Toadstool Café! How cool would it be to have a Nintendo themed restaurant or hotel in Los Angeles or New York City?? Let’s hope the trademarks become reality!
