While the series has come and gone from Nintendo platforms since, Tales of… got its start on the Super Famicom with Tales of Phantasia in 1995. In 2004 Namco adapted the game into an anime consisting of four episodes, and now it’s getting a Blu-Ray release by Discotek Media.

Yes, in addition to Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Discotek has nabbed the license for Tales of Phantasia: The Animation. The re-release will include both the English and Japanese audio plus some interview extras.
