Pokemon Black and White had a lot going for them, and while I could sing any number of those praises, today feels perfect for highlighting its story. While you do the typical “earn eight badges” progression, at Gen 5’s heart was a battle of truth and ideals centered on the tragic figure that is N.
In Pokémon Evolutions Episode 4, we get to see the treacherous Ghetsis put his plan for N in motion. Along the way are moments from the game, like the Team Plasma public speech, and N’s match against Champion Alder.
Revisiting Unova will be a real treat when the time comes. As for Pokémon Evolutions, it’s continuing to put focus on specific characters and what drives them. There’s no telling who’ll be next, but if trends keep up we’ll be checking in on someone from Sinnoh real soon.
