For being a named, recurring character in the series it’s more than a little curious that Kamek is only now becoming a driver in Mario Kart. Originally planned for Mario Kart 64 before being replaced by Donkey Kong, Bowser’s number one Magikoopa is finally getting behind the wheel in a dedicated Tour all his own.
The Kamek Tour is live now, though naturally you’ll need to put your Rubies to the test to potentially get him as a driver. Hopefully he and other notable additions (Dixie Kong, King Bob-omb…) end up playable whenever Mario Kart 9 arrives.
