UPDATE (2/3): footage of the Mario Party: Mysterious Challenge World is now available!
Capcom has teamed up with Nintendo to create an all new arcade experience based on the Mario Party franchise!
The Mario Party arcade does not feature the same style of gameplay as a standard Mario Party adventure. Instead, it’s a metal machine: a game based on luck that’s similar to a large game of Pachinko. Picture, if you will, a very large and complicated slot machine!
The center of the arcade contains a large roulette style wheel that expands the action off the player’s screen to a communal play area. Up to six players can play simultaneously via touch panels spread out around the machine.
The arcade will be shown off to the public during the Japan Amusement Expo on February 19th. Here’s hoping for a North American release!
