We all know The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a beautiful game, so what if we could watch an animated series based on that world? Well, this realization has come true: a fanmade Breath of the Wild animated trailer has surfaced, and it’s surprisingly good.
You’ll find action, drama, suspense, and the essence of Breath of the Wild itself wrapped into a two minute package. The animated trailer seems to pull its animation style from Studio Ghibli movies, which makes sense given how nature-heavy Hayao Miyazaki films tend to be.
Of course, The Legend of Zelda has one official animated series, which debuted back in 1989. So, while it’s a long shot, maybe this fanmade animated trailer can spark an idea over at Nintendo.
