Out of the blue three mystery amiibo (1, 2, 3)have appeared on Best Buy’s website. They all come without images or names, just SKU numbers. On the other hand, they’re described as “Nintendo Switch amiibo” and the only compatible series listed is “Zelda”.
While it’s true every amiibo technically works with Breath of the Wild, other figures on Best Buy (like Rosalina) don’t list “Zelda” in their respective categories. As such, it might be too much to hope they’re the long-awaited Super Smash Bros. additions Cloud, Bayonetta and Corrin.
Instead they may be the amiibo that will unlock the currently inaccessible Fierce Deity and Skyward Sword costumes in Breath of the Wild. We’ll have to wait and see to be sure.
