It’s becoming very clear that the recently released Breath of the Wild is a great success, critically and commercially. While we have yet to receive specific US sales numbers for the game and the Switch in general, a recent interview The New York Times held with Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils Aime shows some promise.

While the bundled stipulation does rule out games like Wii Sports and Super Mario Bros, it does mean Breath of the Wild overtook Super Mario 64, which arguably had even less competition in terms of launch games.
