We received a pretty big amount of amiibo news in the Nintendo Direct today. Here’s a summary of it all!

Super Smash Bros. amiibo

We’ve known they’ve been on the way, but I think we can finally now say they were worth the wait. Cloud, Corrin and Bayonetta are finally confirmed for a release on July 21st! Not only that, but they’ll both have two versions: Corrin will be available as male and female; Cloud sports his Advent Children alternate costume; and Bayonetta comes in her original costume, as well as the known of Bayonetta 2 look.

That wasn’t the only surprise though, as some of these will be retailer exclusive in some capacity. We’ll have the specifics available as soon as more information is provided, but their releases are well within sight now.

Zelda amiibo

They weren’t the only amiibo announced today! Three more Legend of Zelda figures have been announced for June 23rd. These will feature Link as he appeared in Majora’s Mask, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, and will more than likely work as the other anniversary figures do in Breath of the Wild.

Pikmin amiibo

A new Pikmin amiibo was also revealed, this one launching on July 28th alongside Hey! Pikmin for the 3DS.

Splatoon 2 amiibo

One last announcement came through via the fine folks at the Squid Research Lab. Three new Splatoon 2 amiibo were announced, bringing new versions of Inkling Girl, Boy and Squid to the game. These will be pink, green and purple, respectively.

The amiibo will be used for a new picture taking feature in the game and will be shareable through its own social media feature. The gear unlocks are still intact as well, though this time they’ll be gifts from your tapped in “amiibo friend.” The existing Splatoon amiibo, including Callie and Marie, will all be compatible as well!

These three new amiibo will be available on July 21st alongside Splatoon 2.
