Sad news Pokémon trainers around the world – the first Pokémon Sun & Moon Global Mission is a bust.

Players were tasked with catching 100,000,000 Pokémon before December 12th ended yet the final number came up short, with trainers catching a “mere” 16,423,231, or 16.42%.

Everyone who participated will receive 200 Festival Coins if registered to the Global Link, or 100 if not. Chances are Game Freak expected a much greater rate of syncing to occur.

Hopefully the next Global Mission will be more attainable! We’ll be sure to bring you the details when it goes live.
