In preparation for our grand return to Starship Mario, Nintendo Music has added Super Mario Galaxy 2’s soundtrack to the streaming service!
Originally intended to be an updated version of Galaxy with a few more galaxies, titled “Super Mario Galaxy More,” Nintendo realized that the development staff had more and more ideas and decided to make a proper sequel. Released on May 23rd, 2010 on the Wii, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is one of the most critically acclaimed games of all-time, with many regarding it as good or even better than the original.
Galaxy 2’s soundtrack has a runtime of two hours and nine minutes, with a total of 70 tracks.

Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 is coming to Switch
Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 will release on October 2nd, 2025 on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, for $39.99 each or $69.99 as a bundle. Each title will feature 1080p resolution, new chapters for Rosalina’s Storybook and an improved interface. For Switch 2 users, a free update will allow for 4K resolution and players will be able to utilize mouse controls.
